You are invited to support the 2025 Respite Awareness Day at the Statehouse. If you are able to come in person, we will be in the Statehouse Rotunda (first floor, inside the Statehouse), 1100 Gervais St, Columbia SC, at 10 AM. This event is for family caregivers, partner agencies, and legislators. We know many individuals are not able to come in-person, so we are asking you to register to contact your legislators. This registration will enable the SC Respite Coalition to know which legislators support respite. If you can be at the statehouse on this day, please register here, contact your legislators, set up a in-person visit, and we will see you at 10 AM.

What you can to do if you can’t make an in-person visit:

• Contact your state legislators at SC Legislature Online, and ask for a telephone or in-person meeting
• The South Carolina Respite Coalition will provide you materials after you register which you can use to speak to your legislators
• Contact Angela Rodriguez at (803) 935-5027 Ext. 7 or angela@screspite.org, if you need assistance finding your legislators, to do a  practice run at speaking to your legislators, or if you have any questions
• After you speak to your legislators, let the South Carolina Respite Coalition know what they said. This information is important to us.
